NearSpace Education (NSE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring and equipping the next generation through hands-on STEM and space-based learning. Based in Upland, Indiana, NSE connects students, educators, universities, communities, and industry with real-world STEM experiences from the classroom to space.
Services We Provide
NSE provides a range of STEM education and workforce-development programs, including:
- STEM Camps & Programs – Hands-on science, engineering, robotics, electronics, and space-focused experiences for K–12 students.
- Space & Satellite Education – Opportunities for students to design experiments, build hardware, analyze data, and participate in real missions reaching space.
- School & Classroom Programs – Curriculum, workshops, demonstrations, and project-based STEM experiences for schools and educators.
- Teacher Training & Resources – Professional development and tools that help educators bring hands-on STEM and space concepts into their classrooms.
- University & Workforce Development – Experiences connecting students with universities, engineers, mentors, internships, and STEM career pathways.
- Community STEM Outreach – Events, demonstrations, speaking engagements, and programs designed to increase STEM engagement throughout communities.
- Custom STEM Programs & Partnerships – NSE works with schools, nonprofits, universities, companies, and government organizations to develop customized education and outreach programs.
